Look for outgoing transfers: there are none, and there never can be, because no key exists that could sign one.
How is the key never kept?
The server makes each key pair inside the runtime's crypto engine with export switched off. Only the public address is read out. The private half can't be exported, logged or saved, not even by the code that made it, and it's gone when the run ends. If that engine isn't available, the address is 32 random bytes, and no key is made at all.
When do ghosts arrive?
The server checks the ghost vault every 3 minutes (UTC). For every $4.50 it holds, it makes one ghost, up to 12 per run, each with its own address, swap and hand-over. SOL is priced from CoinGecko, then Jupiter, then DexScreener's SOL/USDC pair, then the coin's own trades. Every run is written up in plain words in the ledger.
What if a hand-over gets stuck?
The same address is retried each run. After 3 failed hand-overs (or 30 minutes) it gets one final try, then it goes on the public stuck list in the ledger with its swap on Solscan. Nothing was ever sent to that address, and its $GHOST stays in the vault for the next ghost at a new address.
Does the ghost buy the coin itself?
No. A new wallet has no SOL and no usable key, so it can't sign a trade. The vault buys $GHOST on the market and sends it straight to the ghost. Both transactions are linked on every ghost's page.
Why doesn't a ghost get exactly $4.50 of $GHOST?
Each new holder needs a token account, and that costs a deposit of about 0.002 SOL, paid from the same $4.50. Swap slippage and price movement also shift the amount slightly. The exact $GHOST sent is on each ghost's card.
Where do epitaphs come from?
When a ghost moves in, the server takes the newest comment on $GHOST's pump.fun page that has not been used yet, has text, and whose author still holds $GHOST. Links are removed and it is cut to 140 characters. Each comment is used once. If no comment qualifies, the ghost is an unmarked grave.
How do I feed a ghost?
Copy any ghost's address and send it $GHOST from your own wallet. No key exists for that address, so the tokens stay there forever, and they can never come back to you. The server rechecks about 20 ghosts every 3 minutes, and fed ghosts climb the Fattest ghosts board in the census.
Can anyone take a ghost's coins?
Moving tokens takes a signature from the wallet's key. No one has that key, including us and Blueprint, so ghost coins stay where they are.
